QR Code Reader

Decode QR codes from images.

Need batch processing, more formats or the full editor? Open full tool →

Read any QR code from an image and extract its text, URL, vCard or WiFi content instantly in your browser. Drag in a screenshot, a photo or any image file, and the tool scans it locally and shows the decoded value together with its format and confidence. You can decode a single code or batch-decode a folder of images and export the results to CSV, which is handy for auditing old codes, recovering links from screenshots or checking a tray of printed labels. Everything runs on your device: images are never uploaded, so you can safely read codes that contain private or confidential data. Most free scanners require an internet connection and upload your images to decode them; this reader works offline and keeps your files local by design.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I decode a QR code from an image?

Drop one or more images onto the tool, or choose them from your files or vault. The scan runs locally, and each detected code is shown in the results table with its value, format and confidence so you can copy it or export it as CSV.

Can I decode multiple QR codes at once?

Yes. The tool supports batch decoding: add several images at once and it processes them together, then you can download all results as a CSV file for review in a spreadsheet.

Is reading a QR code private?

Yes. Decoding happens entirely in your browser, so your images and the data inside the codes are never uploaded to a server. You can scan sensitive codes without sharing them with anyone.

Will it read a QR code from a screenshot?

Yes. Screenshots work well as long as the code is reasonably sharp and not heavily distorted. Drop the screenshot into the tool and it will locate and decode the QR code in it.

Can it decode damaged or low-resolution QR codes?

In many cases, yes. QR codes carry error-correction data, and the decoder uses the confidence value to flag uncertain reads. Sharper, well-printed codes with a larger quiet zone decode most reliably.
