Frequently Asked Questions
Does GIF compression affect the animation?
No. The animation, frame timing and loop settings are preserved. Lossless mode only removes redundant data; lossy mode reduces colors per frame for smaller files with a slight quality trade-off you control with the lossy level.
Why is my GIF still large after compression?
GIF is limited to 256 colors per frame and is inefficient for photographic content. If your GIF contains photos, try converting it to WebP or MP4 instead. For animation with flat colors, compression typically reduces size by 30–80%.
Can I convert multiple images at once?
Yes — use Image Factory to build a batch pipeline: convert, compress, crop and resize many images in one flow, entirely on your device.
